Responsible Gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, never a way to earn money or fix a money problem. This guide is for adults aged 18 and over.
Australian restrictions
Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, providing certain online casino services to customers in Australia is prohibited, and the regulator, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, can block offending sites. Offshore casinos may not offer Australian consumer protections or complaint routes. Read the regulator guidance at acma.gov.au before you register or deposit.
Keep control
- Set a deposit budget before you play and stick to it.
- Set a time limit and take regular breaks.
- Never chase losses or borrow to gamble.
- Do not play when tired, stressed or drinking.
- Treat any bonus as optional and read its wagering rules first.
Warning signs
- Spending more than planned or hiding how much you gamble.
- Feeling anxious or irritable when you are not playing.
- Arguments with family or missed commitments because of gambling.
